Advantages and questions about laser hair removal
Hairless ... a desire of many women! This dream became a reality when “laser” hair removal appeared in the United States in 1997.

“Laser” hair removal has undergone a great evolution until the latest generation: high performance optical fiber diode “laser”, a more effective technology, suitable for all skin types.

Then we will answer some questions that may still exist within the scope of the “laser” hair removal process.

1. Can “laser” hair removal be applied to the face?

Yes. Eyelids, area around the eyes, mucous membranes and testicles, are the only regions of the body where the application of the "laser" is not recommended.

2. Before doing "laser" epilation, is it necessary to epilate the area with a razor?

Yes. The intended area must be shaved with razor before application with “laser”, and during all 10 sessions necessary to finalize the process. But the hairs are not born thicker, since the roots are already being eliminated with the "laser".

3. Do you begin to see results with just one session?

Yes. Although it takes, on average, ten sessions to complete the “laser”, the results are clear from the first session. About 30% are already eliminated at this stage.

4. Are laser hair removal and photo hair removal the same thing?

No. Many people confuse photo hair removal with “laser” hair removal. These are procedures with very different results. The hair removal photo emits an intense pulsed light that, by not being able to differentiate the skin from the hair, ends up dispersing energy and, consequently, only weakens the hair, but does not completely eliminate its root. In this way, it does not permanently prevent hair growth. "Laser" hair removal acts directly on the destruction of the hair root. Thus, progressively the hairs no longer grow.

5. Is the “laser” hair removal process very painful?

No. There is discomfort during the sessions, but it lasts only a few seconds with each contact of the “laser” with the skin. To have a way of comparing: waxing is much, much, much bigger!

6. Is it advisable not to sunbathe during treatment?

Yes. It is advisable to protect the areas subject to treatment from the sun: 30 days before and 30 days after the procedure.

7. Is the skin stained with "laser" hair removal?

No. The methods of hair removal that may be responsible for staining the skin are: waxing, excessive use of the razor and ingrown hairs. No, laser hair removal!

8. What is “laser” hair removal?

"Laser" hair removal is a type of photo hair removal that uses a single wavelength to effect hair removal. The "laser" penetrates the skin, where it is absorbed by the melanin (which gives the hair dark pigmentation), which transports the light to the hair follicle. The accumulated heat destroys the hair follicle, preventing it from being born again. The success of hair removal increases the greater the color difference between the hair and the skin. Its application must always be carried out by specialized and properly trained professionals to carry out this treatment.

9. Is “laser” hair removal permanent / permanent?

“Laser” hair removal is considered to be non-permanent. As there are always new hair follicle cells to be developed by the skin, an almost total reduction in the number of hairs is achieved, but it is always necessary to carry out one or another annual maintenance session. So far, the only method of hair removal recognized as definitive is electrolysis, through which a metallic filament with the thickness of a hair is inserted up to the hair bulb and coagulated so as not to let the hair grow. It is a more expensive, slower and more painful treatment.

10. What are the advantages of “laser” hair removal?

It is effective: it removes between 90% to 100% of hair, with only 5 to 7 sessions and in a painless way, especially when compared to traditional methods of hair removal such as wax.

It is lasting: In most cases, after completing the "laser" epilation, one to two annual maintenance sessions will suffice for you to always have smooth and hairless skin.

It is economical: The initial investment may be greater than buying a wax packaging for hair removal, but if you do the math for the money you spend on traditional hair removal methods and compare them with the investment in laser hair removal, you will find that the savings is very high.

Saves time. If you wax your legs once a month and spend 45 minutes in the process, that means that after one year you will have spent 9 hours. After 10 years we will be talking about 90 hours dedicated only to hair removal. With “laser” hair removal, this value will always be much lower, allowing you to have more time to live your life without worry about hair.

Avoids irritation and ingrown hairs, which are common problems with traditional hair removal.

It is comprehensive: This type of hair removal can be performed in any area of the body, regardless of whether it is a larger or smaller area of skin (except the areas mentioned above, in question 1.). This versatility makes it an excellent option for permanent hair removal.

It is safe: The light used in laser hair removal is found in the visible and infrared light spectrum, so it is not the type that causes skin cancer. Thus, this treatment is perfectly safe for your skin's health.
