Madform Gel Warming Cream is ideal for preparing muscles and joints before participating in sports or any other physical activity, containing extract of lanolin, Russian plant, Aloe Vera and Calendula.

It is a very creamy heating gel.

It contains elements that help vasodilation and increase blood flow to the area in which it is applied, which gives it two main uses: sporty and therapeutic.

For one thing, the formula is ideal to help prepare the muscles and joints before participating in any physical activity or sports. However, the gel does not replace pre-workout heating, but when used in conjunction with a physical warm-up, it helps to avoid strains and bumps.

As a therapeutic product, it is particularly effective in the treatment of chronic lesions (defined as lesions lasting more than 72 hours), since this type of injury should be treated with heat. As a result, it can be used with great effect on injuries:

  • backache
  • arthritis
  • rheumatism
  • among others.

This product has been tested and has an AEMPS code from the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products.

It is one of the few heating gels on the market that does not cause itching or irritation.

Packing: 120 ml

Therapeutic indication

MADFORM Cremy Gel is a cream with a thermal effect indicated to be applied before any physical activity, whether competition or daily training.

It helps to increase the temperature of the place where it is applied, so it has two main aspects: sports and therapy.

Cremy Gel is a cream suitable for all types of sports activities, muscular efforts and a state of physical tension.

It maintains the thermal regulation of the massaged muscle area, to avoid mishaps in the physiology of sport.

How to use: Generously apply the Cremy Gel warming cream before starting to practice sports on the muscle area, massaging gently until it is absorbed.

Important: The cream is not a substitute for a warm-up before exercise, but used in conjunction with a physical warm-up helps to prevent possible muscle problems.

What are the benefits of this thermal effect cream for heating?
This is a cream with a quick and long-lasting thermal sensation effect for the preparation of muscles thanks to its immediate formula.

So you can warm up faster in your workouts and competitions. The cold will no longer be an excuse.

Format: This cream is available in two sizes: 120ml tube and 500ml tube.

Additional information

Cold or hot in muscle and joint injuries?

When muscles and joints are subjected to excessive or inadequate efforts, injuries occur. The practice of physical exercise without previous warm-up or incorrect and repeated positions, lifting weights inappropriately or an accident can cause injuries, namely: sprains, strains, tendinitis. All these injuries cause pain and can cause swelling (edema), inflammation and stiffness at the affected site, with symptoms varying in intensity depending on the severity and extent of damage to the muscle or joint.

Chronic and more serious injuries naturally require a medical evaluation, but the mildest can be overcome with the advice of a pharmacist.

Protecting the affected area should be the first care, if necessary with the help of immobilization or containment devices (such as elastic bandages, bands or support straps). It is still advisable to rest, and some cases may benefit from elevating the affected limb.

For symptom relief, the application of cold (cryotherapy) may be useful, effective in the 24 to 48 hours after the injury, helping to reduce inflammation and swelling, in addition to relieving pain. Applied using previously refrigerated and reusable gel bags or ice several times a day, for no more than 20 minutes at a time.

The heat (thermotherapy) acts on pain and stiffness, and can be used in some cases, such as, for example, a contracture, obtaining the maximum effect between 40ºC and 45.5ºC. This temperature must not be exceeded, as there is a risk of burns.

There are several devices for its application, from traditional hot water bags to reusable gel bags that require preheating. There are, however, some situations in which this therapy is not recommended: in recent traumas, in case of fever or changes in the susceptibility of the skin.

There are also other products for topical application to the skin, such as gels, creams and ointments, which provide relief and whose action can be enhanced with a massage.

Whatever your injury, ask your pharmacist for advice on the precautions you should take. (https://www.farmaciasportuguesas.pt/)
