Being a physiotherapist is showing that the first step is not the most difficult, but the most important!

Physiotherapy is extremely important to people's health.

Definition of physiotherapy

Service provided by physiotherapists to individuals and populations in order to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional capacity throughout life.

Physiotherapy is provided in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injuries, pain, illness, disorders, conditions or environmental factors and with the understanding that functional movement is central to what it means to be healthy.

The physiotherapist, in addition to the basic knowledge and skills that the Degree gives him, can carry out advanced training to acquire his own specialized knowledge and skills to provide care to specific populations. (in http://www.apfisio.pt/o-que-e-a-fisioterapia/areas-intervencao/)
