  • Vegetable glycerin is known as glycerol. It is a carbohydrate derived from vegetable oils such as coconut oil. It is highly soluble in water.
  • Glycerin of animal origin is bi-distilled glycerin. Soap production industries use animal fat, and glycerin is a by-product of this process (it is removed from the soap to be sold).
